Catriona Menzies-Pike is the editor of the Sydney Review of Books. She works with Australia’s best writers and critics to publish essays about literature and literary culture.
Catriona’s essays and critical work have appeared in the SYDNEY REVIEW OF BOOKS, the LOS ANGELES REVIEW OF BOOKS, the AUSTRALIAN BOOK REVIEW, the GRIFFITH REVIEW and many other outlets.
Catriona’s first book, THE LONG RUN, was published in Australia by Affirm Press and in the US by Random House. THE LONG RUN is an elegant and erudite memoir through the grief following the death of both her parents at only twenty years old and the author’s experiences of learning to love running almost by accident, interspersed with cultural criticism, and a surprising history of women’s running as a sport.
